Coastal Carolina Hands Campbell First Loss 6-1

CONWAY, S.C. -- Coastal Carolina University (2-1) won five of six singles matches and took the doubles point in defeating Campbell University (3-1) 6-1 on Wednesday at the Billy Nichols Tennis Center. The Lady Chants won two three-set matches in the victory.

The top two singles matches went to three sets, as Medina Bajrambasic defeated Pascale Veraverbeke 4-6, 6-0, 6-3 and Matrka beat Carmen Linder 4-6, 6-1, 6-2.
Campbell returns to action with two matches on Saturday, hosting Armstrong Atlantic at 9:00 a.m., followed by Catawba at noon.
