Campbell Wrestling Drops a Pair; 50-0 to Duke and 42-3 to
Duquesne
DURHAM, N.C. Duke won
all 10 matches and Duquesne took nine of the 10 bouts to down
Campbell in a double-dual meet Tuesday night in wrestling
action.
Lantz Nixon earned
Campbell's only win of the night, defeating Jared Ricotta of
Duquesne 11-4 in the 184-pound match.
Duke won five of its 10
matches by Fall and two more by major decision. Steve Smith
(165-lbs.), Frank Cornely (184-lbs.), Andrew Herbert (HWT), Bryan
Gibson (133-lbs.) and Zach Weisberg (157-lbs.) won their bouts by
fall.
Duquesne picked up
three wins by fall, one by major decision and another by tech fall.
Jon Denk (165-lbs.), Marc Allemang (HWT) and Keith Pavlekovsky
(133-lbs.) were Duquesne's winners by fall.
The Camels also lost to
the Blue Devils 47-0 earlier in the season.
CU (2-15) returns to
the mat on Saturday at The Citadel for a 6:30 match. [Complete Results]
