Appalachian State Shuts Out Campbell Wrestling

Appalachian State won five matches by fall and two more by tech
fall to earn a 53-0 wrestling decision over Campbell University
Wednesday night.
Jason Jones won the
first bout of the night by fall over Campbell's Elliot Berger in
the 141-pound bout. Jones pinned Berger in 2:59. Appalachian State
won the next match by Major Decision and the next two by Tech
Fall.
The Mountaineers won
the next four bouts by fall starting with Corey Pendergrass at
174-pounds. Pendergrass' pin of Brian Hocum in 4:26 was followed by
Sean McIntosh pinning Lantz Nixon at 3:27. In the 197-pound bout,
Rockey Richey earned a fall over Willy Johnson at 6:04 and in the
Heavy-weight class, Ruebon Daniels pinned Pruitt Rainey at
4:28.
Last night's match was
the regular season finale for Campbell. The Camels (2-17) will now
prepare for the Colonial Athletic Association Championships. The
CAA Championships, hosted by Boston University, run from March
