Creek Intercollegiate Men's Golf Tournament
BUIES CREEK, N.C. -- Kyle Spahr finishes seventh individually and
Campbell placed fifth in the team standings Saturday at the East
Carolina Bradford Creek Intercollegiate men's golf tournament.
Spahr, a sophomore from Mundelein, Ill., slipped from a first-place
tie after 18 holes to two-under 142 for the event after Saturday's
74, which was shortened to 36 holes due to heavy rains this week in
the area.
Campbell freshman Fredric Sundberg tied for 15th at even-par 144
(69-75), while junior Matt McIntyre notched a collegiate career-low
72 Saturday to tie for 21st place at plus-one 145.
Robin Smith of host East Carolina won the event at seven-under 137
(69-68), three strokes ahead of Old Dominion's Adam Condello. East
Carolina won the 18-team event with a two-day total of 568.
