Campbell Falls 3-0 on the Road to Western Carolina

CULLOWHEE, N.C. -Natalie Turgeon scored her second goal of the year just 1:03 into the match, to lead the way for the Catamounts who defeated the Camels 3-0 on the road Friday night. The loss drops the Camels to 1-2-0 on the season while Western moves to an unbeaten 3-0-0 on the year.
Turgeon, a native of Raleigh, N.C. put the Camels behind almost from the outset as she received a long pass from senior Casey Davis at the top of the 18-yard area and fired a shot past Campbell goalkeeper Samar Azem.
Later in the half, it was Turgeon to Davis at the 15:50 mark as the two seniors linked up to net the Catamounts second goal.
Western, which out shot the Camels 15-10, would add a final goal at the 89:28 mark when Heather Dittmer finished from an assist by Bailey Chip.
Campbell, which has not lost back-to-back matches since Sept. 25, 2003, will look to rebound on the road, as it faces UNC Wilmington, Wednesday at 7:00 pm. The Camels will return to the Eakes Athletic Complex for a home match with Winthrop Friday, Sept. 9 at 6:00 p.m.
