BUIES CREEK, N.C. Erica Willis was presented the L.T. and
Betty Easley Senior GPA Award as the graduating student-athlete
with the highest cumulative grade-point average at the annual
Campbell Awards Ceremony on Wednesday night.
A native of Dunn and graduate of Triton High School, Willis is a
three-time All-America Scholar-Athlete selection by the National
Fastpitch Coaches Association. and a three-time Atlantic Sun
All-Academic Team member. In addition to serving as the starting
catcher on the Campbell softball team, Willis holds a 3.8
grade-point average as a biology/pre-medicine major. She also
serves as president of Campbell's Student-Athlete Advisory
Committee.
The award is named in the memory of Mr. L.T. Easley, a 38-year
member of the Campbell department of Government and History who
also served 12 years as the University's Faculty Athletics
representative. It is also named in the memory of Mr. Easley's
late wife, Betty.
