stands eighth on the team leader board after 36 holes Monday of the
Santa Clara Invitational men's golf tournament.
Zak Drescher, Gregg Hostetter
and Fredric Sundberg each shot second-round, two-under-par 70s
during Monday's second round as the team recovered from an opening
311 to shoot a three-under 285.
Thirty-third ranked Oklahoma
leads the 14-school field at 11-under 565 (288-277). Portland is second (283-290573),
followed by Santa Clara (290-284574). Campbell is eighth at 596 strokes, one
better than Sacramento State.
Nick DeLio of Cal
State-Northridge leads the field at eight-under 136 (69-67), while
Troy Merritt of Boise State (67-70) and Tyler Rody of Oklahoma
(71-66) are one stroke behind entering Tuesday's final round at the
par-72, 7004-yard Silver Creek Golf Club layout.
Drescher is the low Campbell
individual heading into Tuesday's play at two-over 146 (76-70) and
tied for 16th in the 78-man field. Hostetter (77-70) is tied for 22nd at
plus-three 147, while Sundberg is tied for 44th at seven-over 151
(81-70). Isak Pettersen is
52nd (77-75152) and Mark Coppell 76th (84-82166)
entering Tuesday's final 18 holes.
