N.C. Campbell will face its second nationally-ranked
opponent of the 2007 season when it travels to Furman Saturday for
a 1:00 p.m. kick-off in the first round of the NCAA Men's Soccer
Championship.
Tournament ticket prices are
$7 for adults, $3 for children under 16 and $3 for Furman and
Campbell students with valid university identification. More information is available on-line

The Paladins (18-3-0) moved
up to No. 20 in this week's Soccer America national poll after
winning the Southern Conference tournament title. Furman is tied for the fourth-best
winning percentage (.857) in the country, while Campbell ranks 29th
(.690).
Campbell (13-5-3) stands 26th
nationally in goals scored per game (1.81), while Furman is sixth
(2.38). In addition, Furman
has allowed just 12 goals all year and owns the seventh-best team
goals-against average (0.57) among the 202 Division I men's soccer
playing schools.
The Fighting Camels own a 3-3
won-lost record against opponents ranked in the NSCAA or Soccer
America top-25 polls over the past three seasons. CU dropped its only game against a
nationally-ranked foe during the 2007 campaign 2-1 at Virginia on
Sept. 19.
The winner of Saturday's
match between the Camels and Paladins will advance to a 7:00 p.m.
kick-off on Nov. 28 at No. 5 Wake Forest.
