BUIES
CREEK,
N.C.-The
Campbell University softball program recently announced its annual
winter clinic, which will take place on Saturday, Jan. 12 from 9:30

Creek.
"We are very
excited to be holding the camp for our eighth consecutive year
coming off of last year's success with 158 campers," said CU head
coach Drew Peterson. "I believe this is a great opportunity for
both high schoolers and elementary / junior high age girls to fine
tune their skills as they prepare for the upcoming fast-pitch
season."
The clinic,
open to girls ages 8-17, will consist of three sessions, including
a position, hitting and pitching clinic, all grouped by
age.
Attendees can
participate from one, two or all three sessions, have the
opportunity to learn from current Fighting Camel coaches and
players who will assist in the clinic.
To register,
go to www.gocamels.com . Click on "Online Store" and
"Athletic Camps". The cost is $30 per session. Online registration
ends Wednesday, Jan. 9, however there will be registration
available for walk-ups before the first session on the day
of.
"It is our
goal to provide these young ladies with reminders of proper skill
techniques as well as some new areas of focus," added Peterson. "I
also believe it is great for our players to serve in a coaching
capacity. Giving back to others is a win-win for all."
