Men's Tennis Adds One Final Freshman

BUIES CREEK, N.C.—Campbell's men's tennis team will add one final newcomer to the 2007-08 squad, head coach David Johnson announced. Larbi Lamzouri, of Meknes, Morocco, will join the team for the spring semester.

Lamzouri played tennis most recently at the Tennis Club of Meknes in his hometown. The 5-9 graduate of Lycee Paul Valery (high school) carries a 0-rating in Morocco. He has also earned a national doubles championship in Morocco's under-18 division.

"Larbi's rating and rankings from his country are quite strong," said Johnson. "I believe he will be a key contributing player. We have high expectations for him."

Lamzouri, who began playing tennis at the age of seven, should compete high in the lineup in both singles and doubles action for the Camels.

The team opens its spring season next Saturday, Jan. 19, at the VCU Indoor Invitational in Richmond, Va. The Camels will take on Drexel at 8:00a.m. before facing Navy at 2:00p.m.
