BUIES CREEK, N.C. -- The
Campbell women's basketball team will be one of more than 750
schools taking part in the first-ever Women's Basketball Coaches
Association (WBCA) "Think Pink" initiative on Feb. 11, when the
Camels play host to Kennesaw State in a 7 p.m. (ET) game at Carter
Gym
The WBCA's "Think Pink" initiative is a
global, unified effort for the WBCA's nation of coaches to assist
in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses,
in communities and beyond.
For the Feb. 11 game vs. Kennesaw State,
Campbell players will wear pink t-shirts in their pregame warm-ups
as will the pep band. Additionally special "Think Pink" t-shirts
will be given to the first 300 fans through the door that evening.
All fans in attendance will also receive a pink ribbon and bookmark
courtesy of the Triangle Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen
Foundation. Further, admission to the game will be free for anyone
who wears pink to support breast cancer awareness to the game.
