Men's Golf Finishes 10th at San Diego Callaway Golf Invitational

RANCHO SANTA FE, CALIF. – Freshman Matt Moot tied for 20th individually and Campbell finished 10th in the team standings after Tuesday's final round of the Callaway Golf Invitational hosted by the University of San Diego.

Moot shot even-par 72 over the last 18 holes and finished at 73-77-72—222. Fellow freshman Zak Drescher tied for 32nd at 71-79-74—224 at the Farms Golf Club.

Camel senior Fredric Sundberg tied for 43rd place at 83-68-76—227. Daniel Ng Choo Sian tied for 68th (77-84-75—236), while Mark Coppell finished 72nd (76-86-78—237).

Wichita State won the 15-school event at 853 strokes (280-290-283), eight better than host San Diego (286-290-285—861). Campbell shot 297-307-297—901 to tie for 10th place with Utah.

Dustin Garza of Wichita State won medalist honors at six-under 210 (71-69-70).

Campbell continues its season Mar. 31-Apr. 1 at the Larry Nelson Collegiate Invitational in Braselton, Ga.
