BUIES CREEK, N.C.- Three consecutive home events and the Fighting
Camel Invitational highlight Campbell's 2008 spring women's soccer
schedule. The Fighting
Camel Invitational, which features CU alumni, will open Campbell's
season on Mar. 15.
Also competing in the invitational will be Gardner-Webb,
Lenoir-Rhyne, Barton, Louisburg, Queens and Mount Olive. The invitational is the first of
three 7 vs. 7 events Campbell will be involved with in the
spring.
Campbell's next two home contests are set for Mar. 26 and April
9. On Mar. 26 Campbell will
play host to Wingate and UNC Pembroke, which is in conjunction with
the Campbell's Spring Break Soccer Clinic, while April 9 features
Mount Olive. Both events
are slated for 7 p.m. and will be full 11 vs. 11 formats.
The Camels conclude their spring schedule with two roads events
including the UNC Wilmington Tournament (April 12) and North
Carolina Wesleyan Tournament (April 19). In addition to the host school UNC
Wilmington, Elon, NC State, Appalachian State, Winthrop, Queens,
Coker, UNC Pembroke and St. Andrews will all compete at the UNC
Wilmington Tournament, while Liberty, Methodist, Louisburg,
Greensboro, Cape Fear Community College, Peace and Mount Olive will
be at the North Carolina Wesleyan Tournament. The 7 vs. 7 tournaments will last most
of each day.
