BUIES CREEK, N.C. – CampbellUniversityand the Christian Listening Network have once again reached an agreement for WCLN 107.3 FM to become the flagship station for all football and men's basketball broadcasts on the Campbell University Radio Network.

As the marquee signal for the Christian Listening Network, Christian 107.3 will be the broadcast home for all regular season football and men's basketball contests and provide extended coverage into all postseason games.

During the 2008-2009 athletic year, WCLN will be broadcasting some of the most exciting events in the long history of Campbell University, including the return of football to the field after a 58 year absence and the opening of the John W. Pope Jr. Convocation Center. The original contract in 2007 marked the first time in the radio network's history that Campbell University had reached an agreement with a commercial FM signal after more than three decades of non-commercial broadcasting.

"We are once again very excited to be partnering with WCLN to broadcast one of the most exciting athletic years in Campbell history," said Assistant Athletic Director and radio voice Robert Harper. "WCLN has always had a strong tradition of Christian broadcasting and it this partnership is a great fit for both Campbell and WCLN."

Licensed by the Federal Communication Commission to Clinton, N.C., WCLN's broadcast signal reaches parts of 21 counties in southeastern North Carolina including all of Harnett, Cumberland, Johnston, and Sampson counties. The station's signal also covers a majority of Wake County, including a large portion of Raleigh.

The Christian Listening Network first began broadcasting contemporary Christian music and programs in 1994 and moved to its Fayetteville studios in 2000. The station reports its music play lists to the authoritative chart service Radio and Records for compilation into the weekly music ratings. Often referred to as "Christian 107.3," the station is one of the last family friendly stations in the Fayetteville area.

Campbell opens its football schedule on Saturday with a 1:00 p.m. kick-off at home vs. Birmingham-Southern. The Campbell University Radio Network pre-game show starts at 12:30 p.m. on WCLN 107.3 FM.
