BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Campbell University basketball fans may
guarantee reserved seats for two of the biggest games of the
season, along with the full Fighting Camel men's and women's
basketball home schedule by purchasing their 2009-10 season
tickets.
Basketball reserved seat season tickets are $150 each, and include
admission to all 30 home games - 15 men's and 15 women's - during
the 2009-10 season.
The Camels host East Carolina in men's basketball on Tues., Nov. 17
in Buies Creek for the first time since the Harry S. Truman was in
the White House (during the 1946-47 season, when both schools were
junior colleges).
Campbell and its neighbor to the East have played 36 times since
the Camels joined the NCAA Division I ranks in 1977-78, but all of
the CU "home" games were played in Fayetteville, either at the
Cumberland County Memorial Arena or Crown Coliseum. Last year, the
teams met in Greenville.
Virginia Tech visits the Creek for an historic game on Monday, Nov.
23. The Hokies will be the first Atlantic Coast Conference member
to play men's basketball against CU in Buies Creek, since Campbell
joined the senior college ranks in 1961-62. Campbell did host a
number of ACC junior varsity or freshman teams during its junior
college days, including the Wake Forest JV in the dedication game
of Carter Gym in Feb. 1954.
Campbell will return the home-and-away agreement next year when the
Camels and Hokies square off at Cassell Coliseum.
Campbell University faculty/staff discounted reserved seat season
tickets are $130 each.
