CHARLESTON, S.C. Campbell's softball team (10-4) rallied
from a three-run deficit in the bottom of the seventh inning to
defeat Norfolk State (4-3) 4-3 in the first game of the Charleston
Southern Tourney on Friday, Feb. 27 at Buccaneer Field.
Facing
a 3-0 deficit with one out in the seventh, junior Cassie Webb started the
comeback with a single. Sophomore Katie Woodcock was then
inserted to run for Webb and moved to second on the foul out to the
catcher. Senior Hilary

runners aboard for sophomore Katie Hinton. Hinton then
poked a triple to score both Wheatley and Miller and tie the score
at three all. Freshman Taylor McGee then punched a
single to score Hinton from third and give Campbell the
come-from-behind victory.

picked up the win for Campbell in relief. Junior Brittany Stanley was the CU
starter going the first six innings with two runs allowed and five
strikeouts. Candice Vasquez took the loss for Norfolk State giving
