USC Upstate (11-3), the reigning Atlantic Sun regular season champions, are scheduled to take on Furman on Wednesday before welcoming in Campbell for a two-game set on Friday. The Spartans are led by senior Heidi Gibbs. Gibbs is hitting .404 with 17 runs scored, 19 hits and four stolen bases. Sophomores Courtney Feldon and Lauren Quevedo lead the team with three home runs each. Sophomore Morgan Childers, who was the preseason choice for pitcher of the year, is off to a strong start with a 9-1 record, 0.88 ERA and 104 strikeouts in her 64 innings from the circle.
