Football Holds Double Session On Monday

BUIES CREEK, N.C.- Campbell held their final double session of the preseason practice schedule on Monday, Aug. 17 at the team's grass practice field.

The team started the afternoon practice with special teams before getting into the standard drills that included offensive and defensive situations, punt, punt block, kickoff coverage, some full contact drills and goal line offense and defense.

"We had two practices today," Coach Steele explained. "The morning practice was a good crisp session. In the afternoon we were a little banged up which caused us to have to move people around a little more to get them in the right places. Since we were forced to make some changes it created a little inconsistency. I think that comes from lack of repetitions together from the freshman and upperclassmen. I was pleased with the effort. We have the right people in, we just need a greater sense of urgency about what we are doing."

The Camels host their final practice before the start of school at 7 a.m. on Tuesday. Campbell officially starts classes on Wednesday and practice will then begin at the standard time of 3:30 p.m. daily.
