Goldbach and Jordan
Reaves notched 21 kills apiece, fueling Campbell to a 3-2
(25-14, 26-28, 20-25, 25-12, 15-13) win in its nonconference finale
at Coastal Carolina Tuesday night inside Kimbel Arena.
The Camels improve to 9-14 overall on the season, while CCU falls
to 11-12.
Goldbach, a senior outside hitter, came up one shy of her
career-high in kills, blasting seven in the opening frame and six
in set four. The Jupiter, Fla. native did, however, surpass her
career best in digs, gathering 23 in the win. Goldbach also added a
pair of aces and a block.
Reaves collected a career-high with those 21 kills, adding 14 digs
in the double-double effort. The sophomore outside hitter punched
in a stellar nine kills on 15 swings in the fourth set, helping the
Camels hit .463 (20-1-41) in the frame.

Bendy and Annie
Kobeski, combined for another 21 Campbell kills with seven
blocks. Bendy recorded 13 scores, tying a career-high, with three
blocks, while Kobeski totaled eight kills and four denials.
Kobeski, a junior from Palm Beach, Fla., connected on eight of 15
attempts with only one misfire, hitting .467 on the night. The
Camels' .267 (69-17-195) overall hitting percentage was the second
highest of the year for the team.
Hope
Leatigaga and Heather
Wilson combined for 54 assists on the night, with Campbell
tallying a season-high 63 team assists. Leatigaga added 13 digs,
while Wilson posted three kills and a pair of blocks. Junior libero
Kelsey
Campbell also registered a season-high, gathering 28 digs. Lauren
Garza also collected 14 digs.
Leading the Chanticleers was senior outside hitter Chelsy Chimes,
who recorded a match-high 22 kills with 13 digs and two aces.
Sierra Livesay and Erika Lightsey also collected 12 and 10 kills
respectively. Lightsey, a junior outside hitter, added 22 digs in
the loss. Kelsie Mauck and Lauren Alejo combined for 49 assists and
28 digs. Freshman libero Lindsay Gill notched 29 digs for the
Chanticleers.
Campbell ambushed Coastal in the first set, hitting .406 with 15
kills and only a pair of errors to take a 25-14 win. CCU evened the
match in the second set with a 28-26 edge, recording 18 kills,
including eight from Kimes. Coastal took the lead in the third
stanza, edging the Camels again, 25-20, on the strength of five
more scores from Kimes.
Reaves and Goldbach combined for 15 kills in the fourth set to lead
Campbell to a convincing 25-12 win, hitting .463 (20-1-41), while
holding Coastal Carolina to a .130 (10-4-46) clip. Trailing 13-12
in the deciding set, a Chanticleer attack error followed by a pair
of Bendy kills sealed the win for the Camels.
After taking the remainder of the week off from match action,
Campbell will get back into Atlantic Sun play the following
weekend, hosting Kennesaw State and Mercer.
