BUIES CREEK, N.C. - After closing out the fall schedule setting a
pair of school records en route to a fourth-place finish at the
Palmetto Intercollegiate, Michelle Koh of Campbell University was
named Atlantic Sun Conference Women's Golfer of the Month for
October.
The junior from Kuantan, Malaysia captured her first A-Sun Golfer
of the Month award after she broke the school 18- (66) and 36-hole
(139) school records following the second round of the Palmetto
Intercollegiate.
Koh finished in a fourth-place tie at the Palmetto Intercollegiate,
matching her career-best showing, while helping Campbell to a
third-place performance in the team standings, the club's best
effort of the fall campaign.
She also tied for 11th place at the LPGA International/Xavier
Invitational where Campbell tied for fourth on the team leader
board. Through four tournaments, Koh owns a 74.9 stroke average,
lowest on the team.
Campbell returns to tournament play Feb. 20-22 at the Edwin
Watts/Kiawah Classic hosted by the College of Charleston at Cougar
Point Golf Course.
