MACON, Ga. - Each day from Oct. 29th through Nov. 12th, the
Atlantic Sun Conference will preview the upcoming 2010-11 men's
basketball season with 11 Days of Atlantic Sun Men's Basketball.
Today, we talk with Junard Hartley, a senior all-conference guard
for the Campbell Fighting Camels.

Top Returning Scorer: Lorne Merthie, Junior
Guard - The 2009 A-Sun Freshman of the Year returns for his
junior season as the top-returning scorer for Campbell after
averaging 10.7 points per game. A deadly three-point shooter,
Merthie ranked second in the league in three-point percentage at
.411 and fifth for three-point field goals made with 2.3. Along
with his shooting prowess, Merthie averaged two steals per outing,
which ranked second in the A-Sun. Merthie, a Preseason
All-Conference Team member, enters the season with 28 career
double-digit point games and ranks ninth in program history with
threes made with 121.
Season Opening Game: Campbell at Virginia
Tech, Nov. 12th at 7:30 p.m. - The Camels' season starts with
five games away from Buies Creek including the season opener at
Virginia Tech, who went 25-9 last season and barely missed out on
the NCAA Tournament. Campbell returns three starters from last
year's team that went 14-6 in conference play to split the regular
season A-Sun title, while the Hokies bring back all five
starters.
Conference Game to Watch: Kennesaw State at
Campbell, Jan. 7th at 7 p.m. - In last season's matchups,
Campbell left victorious in both games, which included a 10-point
victory on the road against the Owls. Merthie added 13 points for
the Camels on three trifectas, while four double-digit scorers
contributed to a seven-point victory at home for Campbell.
