Swimming Finishes In Sixth At CCSA Championships; Kedracka And Kenline Set School Records

Knoxville, Tennessee -Campbell's swim team completed the 2010 CCSA Championships in sixth place in Knoxville, Tenn. on Saturday, Feb. 20. The Camels, who had placed seventh in each of the last two seasons, accumulated 219.5 points throughout the competition. CU's Magda Kedracka and Jackie Kenline both broke the school records in events during the final day.

The freshman's time of 2:07.23 in the 200 butterfly with just under four seconds faster than her previous school record of 2:11.52. This was the fourth time this season that Kedracka has broken the school record in the event and she placed eighth overall in the competition with a 2:08.50 in the finals.

Senior Jackie Kenline completed her Campbell swimming career and placed seventh in the 100 free. She broke the school record earlier in the afternoon with a 52.63 in the preliminaries.

Junior Kelly Mullican also swam a season best in her event, the 200 back, to finished 13th. Mullican swam a 2:12.07.

Freshman Emma Eisler was CU's top finisher in the 200 breast with her time of 2:23.61.

Florida Gulf Coast was crowned the champion of the competition with 831.5 points.
