BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Campbell rising junior offensive tackle Sam
Issermoyer was named to the Consensus Draft Service (CDS)
seventh annual Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) preseason
All-America Team. Issermoyer was one of eight Pioneer Football
League athletes named the CDS' three teams.
Issermoyer was an honorable mention selection on the CDS team. The
Eldersburg, Maryland native is coming off a 2009 season where he
was named second team All-PFL while playing in all 11 games with 10
starts. Issermoyer aided Campbell to a top ranking in the
conference in rushing (189.73) and the line he was part of allowed
the least amount of sacks in the conference (1.27) and tied for
18th nationally in sacks allowed. The Camels were able to top the
200 yard mark in rushing in five games in 2009 including a school
record 295 yards on the ground against Birmingham-Southern
(9/12).
Campbell opens the 2010 football season on the road on Sept. 4
against UVA Wise at 6 p.m. CU will play its first home game on
Sept. 11 at Barker-Lane Stadium against Old Dominion at 1 p.m.
