Women's Golf stands 15th after first round of Golfweek Conference Challenge

WOLCOTT, COLO. - Michelle Koh is tied for 34th place individually and Campbell is in 15th place after Sunday's first round of the Golfweek Conference Challenge at the Red Sky Golf Club Fazio Course.

Tulane and Virginia are tied for the lead at one-under-par 287 heading into Monday's second round of the 54-hole event. Arizona is third (292) in the 18-school field. Campbell shot a 317, three strokes behind 14th-place Missouri State and five ahead of Coastal Carolina.

Brittany Altomare of Virginia and Therese Koelbaek of UNLV share the individual lead at three-under-par 69, and stand one stroke ahead of four golfers at two-under 70.

Koh shot a four-over 76, while teammate Sarah Bejgrowicz carded a 78 and is tied for 52nd place. Kaylin Yost shot 81 and is tied for 67th in the 90-player field, while Maria Jose Benavides shot 82 and Sandra Angulo 83.

Campbell begins its second round on Monday at 10:45 a.m. MDT from the 10th tee paired with Harvard and Missouri State.
