BUIES CREEK, N.C.- Campbell's swimming coach Pascal Molinard recently announced the addition of 13 incoming freshmen for 2010-11 season.

The 13 signees are Kelsey Bennett (New Bern, N.C./Havelock), Kaitlyn Burnette (Raleigh, N.C./Sanderson), Cheriesse Campbell (Sunrise, Fla./Western HS), Charlotte Cornet (Brussels, Belgium/Lycee Emile Jacqmain), Marissa Coughlin (Centreville, Va./Westfield HS), Virginia Dailey (Spanish Fort, Ala./Spanish Fort HS), Erin Francis (Durham, N.C./Jordan HS), Kate Haseley (Burlington Flats, N.Y./Milford Central), Spencer Hopper (Bessemer City, N.C/Hunter Huss), Lexie Miller (Cary, N.C./Cardinal Gibbons), Hannah Nordyke (Stallings, N.C./Sun Valley HS), Maggie Pogue (Gainesville, Va./Carthage Central (NY), Kylie Warne (Alberta, Canada/Lethbridge Collegiate Institute).

"The freshman class is a strong, wonderful and smart group," Molinard excitedly explained. "These 13 freshmen are well rounded and will help us both in the pool and in the classroom. They are going to be new, exciting and surprising class of young ladies. This group also has great experience having competed in every type of stroke and event through their club and high school teams. I feel we are bringing in another very special class of young ladies that will certainly make a positive mark at Campbell during their careers."

Kelsey Bennett: A four-year swimming letterwinner at Havelock....she went to the 3A State all four years...named team captain in each of her final two seasons...named the Sun Journal MVP and team's MVP as freshman...also captured team MVP honors in each of her remaining three years...owns the school-record 1:11 time in the 100 breast...also lettered in volleyball where she was on the varsity as both freshman and sophomore...a member of the National Honor Society and New Bern Breakfast Rotary...full name is Kelsey Lee Ann Bennett...daughter of Don and Kim Bennett...born 7/23/92 in New Bern, N.C. ...majoring in kinesiology.

Kaitlyn Burnette: A four-year swimming letterwinner at Sanderson...named team MVP and Academic All-Conference all four years...earned Academic All-American honors as a senior...served as the team's captain in each of her final two seasons...her best times in high school were 58.92 (100 bk), 24.58 (50 free), 54.74 (100 free), 2:09.54 (200 bk), 59.21 (100 fl), 2.12.01 (200 IM)...also lettered in cross country, track and field and volleyball...full name is Kaitlyn Lyell Burnette...daughter of Thorton and Evelyn Burnette...born 10/24/91 in Raleigh, N.C ....majoring in kinesiology.
