Track Heads to ETSU for A-Sun Indoor Championships

BUIES CREEK, N.C. - With 11 top-three marks in the conference this season, the Camels head to the Atlantic Sun Indoor Championships, hosted by ETSU, this weekend.

CU has three athletes that have top seeds for this weekend, Diego Lawrence, Jessica Dunston, and Nadia Natt. Lawrence's best jump of 7.54 meters gives him the top spot in the long jump, the event in which he won silver at last year's A-Sun Indoor Championship behind his teammate, Robert Brunson. Lawrence is also one of the top seeds for the 200m dash and triple jump.

Dunston's top throw of 18.20 meters gives her the top seed in the weight throw. In three events this season, Dunston has won the weight throw twice along with a second place finish. She won bronze in the event at last season's A-Sun Indoor Championship. Dunston also took silver in last season's shot put and has the 11th best mark in the conference this season.

Natt's best mark of 12.24 meters gives her the number one seed in the triple jump, the event in which she took gold at last year's A-Sun Indoor Championship.

Rashad Campbell has one of the top spots in the conference for both the 60m and 200m dash. Adoniss Jones has won gold in the 60m hurdles at the last two A-Sun Indoor Championships and is ranked third for this year's event.

Brunson took gold in last year's long and triple jump events and is ranked third and fourth in those events, respectively.

Action at the two day event begins on Friday with the women's pentathlon at 8:30 a.m.
