- Campbell (4-1) took five out of the six singles matches, and took
the doubles point as they defeated UNC Greensboro 6-1, Friday
afternoon.
Davy Sum
remained undefeated on the season (5-0) as he defeated Orcun Seyrek
(6-1, 7-5) in the number one position. This is Sum's fifth
straight-set victory this season.
Senior Larbi
Lamzouri picked up a victory in the two position over Timion
Meijs (6-2, 3-6, 6-4), while Fernando Guillen defeated Yaroslav
Litus, 6-4, 6-4 in the three spot. Dominik Kaniewski earned his
third win of the season by beating Chanon
Varapongsittikul (3-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-8) in the four position. David
Clavera defeated Jacob Wright (6-3, 6-2) in the
five position.
Campbell
went 3-0 in doubles play, led by a victory in the one position by
Sum and Kaniewski. The duo is now 2-1 on the season. Guillen and
Lamzouri defeated Meijs and Varapongsittikul 8-4 in the number two
spot, while Josep
Baro and Clavera picked up a win in the number three
spot
Campbell
improves to 4-1 on the season, while UNCG falls to 3-2.
The Camels
return to the courts tomorrow, Saturday Feb. 19, for their second
home match of the season against Hampton. The matches begin at
1:00.
