BUIES CREEK, N.C.-Following a thrilling victory over East Tennessee
State, Campbell takes on USC Upstate in the Lady Camels' regular
season finale on Saturday. The 1 p.m. Atlantic Sun tilt will also
serve as CU's Senior Day.
The Lady Camels (12-16, 11-8 A-Sun) came back from a seven point
deficit with five minutes to go to down ETSU on Thursday night, as

Baker and Lauren
Yesh scored 22 of their combined 26 points in the second
half.
Baker, a sophomore guard, narrowly missed a triple-double with 16
points, nine rebounds and nine assists, while Yesh poured in 10
points and eight boards. Sophomore forward Jazmine
Cooper added 12 points and 12 rebounds for her third
double-double of the season, and Roslyn
Presley tacked on six points off the bench.
Campbell converted 17 Buccaneer turnovers into 21 points, and
capitalized on a 51-40 rebounding advantage with 17 second chance
points. Over the last four games, the Lady Camels have held a 13.3
average advantage on the boards.
Baker leads the Lady Camels on the season at 11.3 points and 6.2
rebounds per game. The High Point, N.C. native has pulled down at
least seven rebounds in each of her last nine games, and has
totaled 34 points in her last two outings.
Cooper is averaging 9.7 points and 6.2 boards a game after her
double-double effort on Thursday. The sophomore forward has scored
in double figures in each of her last eight games, and in 10 of her
last 11.
Yesh, who picked up her 900th career point against ETSU,
is averaging 9.0 points and a team-best 6.4 rebounds per game. The
senior from Evart, Mich. will be playing in her 119th
career game on Saturday, which will tie the all-time record, held
by Janice Washington (1996-01).
Chelsea McMillan leads the Spartans (16-11, 12-6 A-Sun) at 17.4
points and 11.6 rebounds per game, while Tee'Ara Copney tallies
15.2 points and 4.3 rebounds a contest. Kendra Wallace adds 8.4
points and 2.9 rebounds a game for Upstate.
In the
teams' previous meeting in December, the Spartans claimed an 85-71
in Spartanburg, S.C. Wallace led Upstate with 20 points, hitting
5-of-7 from three, adding three assists in the win. Sharniece
Wadelington followed with 14 points and seven rebounds, tacking on
four steals. McMillan tallied 12 points and eight rebounds, while
Copney registered 11 points and eight assists.
Leading the Lady Camels was junior guard Kate
Cloxton with a season-high 21 points, going 9-for-13 from the
floor with three long-range baskets. The Winfield, W.Va. native
added four steals and three assists. Amanda
O'Neill, also a junior guard, joined Cloxton in double figures
with 12 points.
The Lady Camels will head to the A-Sun Tournament next week in
Macon, Ga.
