WILMINGTON, N.C. - Junior Dave Matthews set a new personal record and finished fifth in the hammer throw for the second consecutive week with a mark of 45.29 meters as part of day one action for Campbell at the UNCW Seahawk Invitational.

Sophomore Christopher Lassiter placed sixth with a leap of 6.63 meters in the long jump for the Camels.

Day two of the event gets underway tomorrow with the men's high jump at 10:00 a.m.
