ORLANDO,
FLA. - Matt Moot tied for 10th individually and Campbell finished
6th in the team standings following Tuesday's final round of the
UCF/Rio Pinar Invitational.
A senior from Johnstown, Pa., Moot shot a one-under 71 on Tuesday
and finished the 54-hole event at 2-under-par 214 (76-67-71).
Daniel Mazziotta (65-69-70-204) of Florida Gulf Coast won
individual honors on the first playoff hole over Liberty's Robert
Karlsson (69-70-65-204).
Host Central Florida (275-282-284-841) placed 4 golfers among the
top 8 individuals and won team honors by five strokes over
runner-up Liberty (283-287-276-846). North Carolina State
(291-284-286-861) was third, followed by Wichita State
(292-289-21-872), Florida Gulf Coast (287-290-296-873) and Campbell
(302-282-293-877) in the 18-school field.
Campbell junior Vaita Guillaume (74-69-75-218) tied for 22nd place
at two-over-par 218. Sophomore Aman Singh (75-72-73-220) tied for
28th, while junior Mitch Gray (77-74-76-227) and senior Zak
Drescher (79-75-74-228) finished in ties for 60th and 68th place,
respectively.
The Camels continue their spring schedule Apr. 11-12 in the Wofford
Invitational at Spartanburg, S.C.
