BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Campbell sophomore Dominik Kaniewski was named the A-Sun men's tennis player of the week, the conference announced Wednesday. This is the first career Player of the Week award for the Poland native.

Kaniewski is 9-1 this season in singles play and currently riding an eight match winning streak. He defeated Jacksonville's Logan Shalmi (6-3, 6-0) and UNF's Beauregard Treyz (6-2, 6-2) this past weekend.

In doubles play, Kaniewski and teammate Davy Sum own an 8-2 record overall and 4-0 in conference. The duo picked up two victories this past weekend against Jacksonville and UNF.

This is the third POTW honor to be given to a Camel this season. Sum was given the honor on Feb. 4 and Feb. 16

Campbell re-entered the ITA rankings this week at 68. The Camels were ranked 70 for the week of March 1-7.

Kaniewski and the #68 Camels return to the courts Saturday, March 19 as they travel to Orangeburg, S.C. to take on South Carolina State. Match time is set for 1:00 p.m.
