BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Sophomore Diego Lawrence was named the Atlantic Sun Track Athlete of the Week, and junior Dave Matthews picked up the A-Sun Field Athlete of the Week Award the league announced on Wednesday.

Lawrence had personal bests in the 100 meter (10.58 seconds) and 200 meter (21.67 seconds) dashes as well as in the triple jump (13.91 meters) at last weekend's UNCW Seahawk Invitational. Lawrence finished third in the 100 meters and triple jump and fifth in the 200 meters.

Matthews set personal records in the javelin throw (52.97 meters) and shot put (13.03 meters) at the UNF Spring Break Invitational the weekend of Mar. 4-5. Matthews also had a mark of 45.05 meters in the hammer throw. Matthews finished second in the javelin throw, fifth in the hammer throw, and sixth in the shot put at the event.

At last weekend's UNCW Invitational, Matthews set a personal best in the hammer throw with a hurl of 45.29 meters to give him another fifth place finish.

The Camels are back in action at this weekend's Shamrock Invitational in Conway, S.C.
