BUIES CREEK,
N.C. - The Bucs took four singles matches and the doubles point en
route to a 5-2 victory over the Camels Friday afternoon, at the
Nisbet Tennis Center. Lisa
Sutton and Karolina
Chernaya won singles matches for Campbell (8-5, 4-1
A-Sun).
Sutton defeated
Paula Jamie (6-0, 6-2) in the number one position. The senior is
10-3 on the season. Chernaya beat Kelly Holzhausen (6-3, 6-2) in
the two spot. The Pakistan native is 11-2 on the season.
ETSU (7-6, 4-1)
jumped out to an early 1-0 lead by sweeping all three doubles
matches. The Bucs carried the momentum from doubles play and earned
four singles victories, including dominating wins from Karina Kedzo
and Diana Navrostska in the four and five spots.
This is the
first loss for Campbell since February 24, and its first loss in
conference.
The Camels
continue Atlantic Sun play Friday, March 25 as they travel to
Kennesaw Ga. to take on Kennesaw State. Match time is set for 10:00
a.m.
