MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- Sarah Bejgrowicz is tied for 5th individually
and Campbell sits in 8th place on the team leader board following
36 holes of play at the Barefoot at the Beach women's golf
tournament.
Coming off her second
career win last week at the Kiawah Classic, Bejgrowicz shot
73-74--147 over the first two rounds and is tied with Leigh
Whittaker from host College of Charleston (71-76--147) at 3-over
par.
Fanny Wolte from East
Carolina (69-75--144) leads the 84-player field, one stroke ahead
of Nina Muehl from East Tennessee State (71-74--145). ECU
teammates Amy Otteson (75-71--146) and Amber Littman (71-75--146)
are tied for 3rd place.
East Carolina
(292-294--586) carries a 16-stroke lead in the team standings into
Tuesday's final round at the Barefoot Resort Davis Love course.
Wisconsin (308--294--602) is second, while the College of
Charleston (301-307--608) and ETSU (310-298--608) are tied for
3rd.
Kennesaw State is 5th
(310-299--6-09), followed by Morehead State (307-309--616), Old
Dominion (311-307--618) and Campbell (317-304--621). Illinois
State (313-313--626) and Appalachian State (316-317--633) round out
the top 10.
Playing as
individuals Campbell freshmen Majria Jose Benavides (77-75--152)
and Alexandra Prazak (77-77--154) are tied for 14th and 23rd place,
respectively.
Junior Michelle Koh
is tied for 30th (79-76--155), senior Sandra Angulo is 47th
(83-76--159) and freshman Kaylin Yost is 51st (82-78--160).
Sophomore Teresa Urquizu shot 96-82--178 and is tied for 82nd.
