BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Campbell's softball team (24-19, 8-4 Atlantic
Sun Conference) plays six road games this week. The Camels start it
off and briefly get out of league play to take on UNC Wilmington
for two games on Tuesday, April 12, starting at 4 p.m. CU then hits
the road and travels to Florida for doubleheaders with league
rivals North Florida (April 15) and Jacksonville (April 16).
Campbell went 3-1 last week with two victories over Hampton and a
split doubleheader with league rival Kennesaw State. Senior Lauren
Stephan had two historic games last week. Stephan had four hits
against Hampton and tied the Campbell single game record. She then
set a school mark with three home runs in the second game against
Kennesaw State. Stephan's three homers bettered the previous record
of two that had been reached by 11 players in Campbell history. The
Phoenix, Ariz. native also drove in seven runs against the Owls.
Her seven RBIs were one off the school mark set by Martha Covington
in 1996 and the second most in school history. Stephan's three home
runs and seven RBIs are highs in each category in the Atlantic Sun
Conference this season. Stephan hit .667 on the week with four home
runs, nine RBIs and 20 total bases. Sophomore Sarah
Ling also had a strong week for the Camels with a pair of four
RBI games to go along with a pair of home runs and seven runs
scored. Senior Katie

win of the season in the team's 8-4 win over Kennesaw State.
Woodcock also leads the conference and the country with seven saves
this season.
UNC Wilmington (11-29) won two of its three games over the weekend
against Towson. The Seahawks defeated the Tigers by 2-1 and 1-0
scores, but lost the middle game 12-1. Sophomore Lauryn Buckworth
leads the offensive charge for the Seahawks with a .314 batting
average plus 37 hits, three home runs and 14 RBIs. Senior Caitlin
Caverra has 22 hits, 11 RBIs and 42 total bases this season. She
also has walked 18 times and only fanned five times in 123 at bats.

North Florida (20-23, 4-8 Atlantic Sun) has lost three of the last
four games. The Ospreys split with Belmont and were swept by
Lipscomb over the weekend. UNF did have a six-game winning streak
earlier this season. Freshman Cortney Radke leads the team with 18
wins, a 1.96 ERA, 210.2 innings worked and 233 strikeouts. She
leads the conference in complete games with 21 and her 210.2

A-Sun in wins and third in strikeouts. Fellow freshman Mariah
Reynolds is the team's top hitter with a .278 batting average, 10
doubles and 24 RBIs. Sophomore Jackie Reese is the top power threat
with five home runs and has also walked 21 times. The Ospreys, who
are 9-7 at home this year, will play a mid-week doubleheader
against Florida State before welcoming in Campbell for a double dip
on Friday. The Camels lead the series between the schools at 7-3.
CU defeated UNF by identical 3-1 scores in Buies Creek last season.
Senior Lauren
Stephan threw a two-hit shutout in the first game victory for
the Camels.
Jacksonville (30-14, 10-2 Atlantic Sun) is one of the top teams in
the Atlantic Sun Conference this season with the only two blemishes
in league play being at the hands of Lipscomb last weekend. The
pitching for Jacksonville has been the strength of the team with an
ERA of 1.44. JU junior Sarah Sigrest is 15-5 with a 1.19 ERA and
127 strikeouts in 147.1 innings worked. Sigrest ranks fourth in the
league in wins and innings pitched. Sophomore Olivia Kline is 13-6
with a 1.46 ERA. She is third in the conference in shutouts. Kline
is also a dangerous bat with four home runs and 18 RBIs. Sophomore

with 46 hits and 25 runs scored. Jacksonville will play a mid-week
game against Florida A&M before seeing Campbell on Saturday.

Tournament with a 1-0 victory in eight innings. The schools split
the doubleheader in Buies Creek last season. Campbell won the
second game 3-0 behind the strong pitching of Brittany Stanley.

Hinton had two hits and two RBIs in the second game Campbell
victory.
After this week, the Camels return home for a single game against
North Carolina Central on April 20 at 6 p.m. before getting back
and wrapping up league play with doubleheaders on the road against
East Tennessee State (April 22) and USC Upstate (April 23).
