BUIES CREEK, N.C.-Campbell baseball and Camel head coach Greg
Goff announces it 2011 summer camps, held throughout June at
Taylor Field. The two camps include the Little League Summer Camp
and the High School Prospect Camp.
The Little League Summer Camp will be held from Monday-Thursday,
June 20-23, 2011 at Taylor Field, from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. each day.
Registration starts on June 20 at 8 a.m. Cost is $150 and includes
a camp t-shirt.
The camp is open to anyone through the ages of 6-13 (elementary
through 8th grade), with the purpose to teach the
fundamentals of baseball to various age levels, helping each
participant to better understand the game. The camp will also aid
in further development of individual skills through instruction and
individual drills while concentrating on hitting, pitching,
fielding and base running. The camp will begin each day at 9 a.m.
and wrap up at noon.
CU's High School Prospect Camp will be held Tuesday and Wednesday,
June 28-29, 2011 at Taylor Field, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Registration
starts on June 28 at 8 a.m. Cost is $175 for the two day camp and
includes a camp t-shirt.
The High School Prospect Camp is open to anyone, grades 9-12, who
want to play college baseball. The purpose of the camp is to
showcase the talents of campers in a collegiate baseball
atmosphere. The camp will be a two day event featuring hitting,
pitching, fielding and base running.
Day one will be an instructional day and half of the pro-style
workout, where coaches will instruct and evaluate campers. Day two
will consist of finishing the pro-style workout, followed by games.
There will also be a campus tour. Registration begins at 8 a.m.
Lunch will not be provided for either day of the High School
Prospect Camp, however, time will be allotted for campers to
eat.
Campers for all Campbell baseball camps should bring a hat, glove,
bat, batting gloves, batting helmet, baseball pants, spikes or
tennis shoes (for both inside and out).

Coach Goff is entering his fourth year as head baseball coach at
Campbell. In the previous three seasons, his Camel squads have
broken 43 school records. In his career, Goff has sent 37 players
to the professional ranks, including six to the Major Leagues.
Former players include 2006 Cy Young Award winner Brandon Webb and
Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Joseph Blanton.
The entire coaching staff resume includes 23 All-Americans, 33
All-Region, 106 All-Conference, three National Players of the Year,
five Region Players of the Year, nine Conference Players of the
Year, six Rawlings National Gold Glove Winners, five College World
Series Appearances, 52 Professional Contracts and seven Major
Leaguers.
