Hartnett took second and then third on the throwing error from the Campbell right fielder. She came in to score on the same play as the CU third baseman threw the ball away.

The Camels loaded the bases in the second on single from freshman Raven Lee and walks to Melton and senior Keeli Michael, but a strikeout ended the inning.

Senior Lauren Stephan cut the deficit in half with her solo home run in the third inning. The home run was her 10th of the season.

ETSU added on to the lead with a run in the bottom of the inning. Arielle Garner was hit by a pitch. Lower moved her to second with a single. After a strikeout, Katie Henderson doubled in Garner with the team's third run of the game.

The Camels took the lead with two in the sixth inning. Melton walked and moved to second on the sacrifice bunt from Michael. Senior Katie Hinton drove in Melton with her single up the middle. Senior Amanda Miller then pushed a single up the middle to score Hinton with the team's second run of the inning and fifth of the game. The hit was the third of the game from CU.

CU increased the margin by two with a pair of runs in the top of the seventh. Senior Lizzie Goldbach started the rally with a single up the middle and was aboard on junior Taylor McGee's home run. Her home run was her 11th of the season.
