Sum completed a perfect 20-0 singles record but Campbell fell
4-3 to USC Upstate Friday afternoon in its regular season finale.
The Camels (16-4, 7-3 A-Sun) have clinched the three seed in next
weekends A-Sun tournament.
Freshman Fernando
Guillen improved to 15-5 for the season after his victory in
the three spot over Matias Di Pasquale (6-1, 4-6, 6-3).
David
Clavera picked up a victory for the Camels in the four spot
over Gonzalo Blanco (6-3, 6-0). Clavera filled in for the normal
four player, Dominik
Kaniewski, who is out for the season with a knee injury.
The Spartans jumped out to an early 1-0 lead by capturing the
doubles point. Sum and Ondrej
Kralik picked up the lone doubles victory for the Camels.
The Camels returns to the courts Thursday in DeLand Fla. in the
Atlantic Sun tournament. They will face either Mercer or Lipscomb.
