ROCK HILL, S.C. – The Campbell University women's tennis team fell 7-0 to Winthrop Friday afternoon in Rock Hill, S.C. Karolina Chernaya fell to 3-2 this season after falling in the one position.
Freshman Tamara Stanic was dealt her second loss of the season by Andressa Garcia in the two spot (6-3, 6-1). Natasha Afridi fell in the three spot.
Winthrop captured the doubles point by sweeping all three matches. Katya Yegoreychenko and Stanic fell 8-7 to Giovanna Portioli and Sandra Herrera in the two spot.
The Camels (3-2, 0-1) continue their four match road trip Saturday as they take on Davidson. Match time is set for 3:00 pm.
