STOCKBRIDGE, GA.-Lisbeth Brooks finished eighth overall, leading Campbell to a fourth place showing at the Georgia State John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate women's golf tournament at Eagle's Landing Country Club.
Brooks, a freshman from Waunakee, Wisc., entered the day tied for ninth along with Michelle Koh and Brooke Bellomy, posted a final round score of 74 on Tuesday, rounding out tournament play with a season-low 221 (72-75-74--221).
East Tennessee State's Gabriella Wahl picked up the tourney win with a 209, recording a final round low 69 (70-70-69--209).
Maryland (295-293-297--885) claimed the team title, vaulting past ETSU on the final day of competition with a 297 score and finishing with a team total 885. Campbell placed fourth with an 895, gathering a 303 on Tuesday.
Mississippi State (289-303-299--891) registered a runner-up finish, while ETSU (296-289-307--892) took third in the event.
Koh (73-74-77--224) tied for 16th with a final 224, while Kaylin Yost (76-75-74--225) tied for 18th and Brooke Bellomy (75-72-79--226) placed 20th overall. Teresa Urquizu (87-76-78--241) also placed 50th.
Competing as an individual, Campbell sophomore Maria Jose Benavides (76-78-76--230) finished 28th overall.
Next up for the Camels will be the Big South Conference Championship Apr. 9-11 at the Patriot Golf Club in Ninety Six, S.C.
