BUIES CREEK, N.C.-Several members of the Campbell University football program traveled to nearby Fuquay-Varina, N.C. on Saturday, teaching and coaching area youth.
The event, organized by the Fuquay-Varina Athletic Association, was designed as a fundamental skills day camp for local children.
Several players, along with assistant coach Duncan McLaurin headed the program from 8 a.m. until noon, instructing nearly 150 kids.
Attendees were coached by the Camel players at various stations, learning the basic aspects of football.

Campbell will open the 2012 season on Thursday, Aug. 30 under the lights at 7 p.m. at Barker-Lane Stadium against Shorter.
