The Highlanders gave the Fighting Camels their most recent Big South loss, defeating Campbell 1-0 in the 2011 conference tournament.

In the first 13 minutes of the match, Radford outshot Campbell 5-2, putting the fifth shot in the back of the net. Radford's Julie Ruh'e played a through ball to Sahar Aflaki in the box, who dribbled past Campbell keeper Ryann Torrero and finished the goal.

In the following nine minutes, Fighting Camels Michelle Proccacini and Ashley Clark each had a shot on Radford's goal, but keeper Che' Brown was able to contain the tries.

For the remainder of the half, the two sides continued to trade shots. Torrero saved the three Radford shots that were put on-goal, while two Campbell attempts flew wide of the frame.

The Highlanders' second goal of the game came with 75 seconds left in the first half, as Kim Harkins took a shot from outside the penalty area. Torrero mishandled the ball, and it found the back of the goal.

Radford outshot the Campbell 11-7 in the opening half. Torrero registered four saves, while Brown blocked three.

The Highlanders came out firing to begin the second half as Torrero notched her first save of the period 40 seconds into play.

Proccacini, who ended the game with four shots, came close to a score in the 56th minute. She took a shot off a rebound from the Camels' first corner kick of the game, but the ball hit off the crossbar.

The Camels continued to battle the rest of the second half, setting three shots on goal.

Radford's third and final goal was recorded in the 86th minute. Mary Wiley crossed the ball into the box to Megan Rhodes, who headed the pass into the net.

The final try of the game for Campbell came from senior Taylor Brown, whose shot was over the crossbar.

At the final whistle, Campbell had totalled 14 shots to Radford's 21. Torrero finished the game with eight saves and Brown stopped five shots.

The Fighting Camels moved to 6-2-1 overall and 1-1-0 in the Big South. To finish their seven-game road slate, the team will travel to play Gardner-Webb Thursday at 7:00 in Boiling Springs, N.C.
