BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Adam Lutz earned his second straight honorable mention while Brandon Mobley picked up his first career nod from the College Football Performance Awards' weekly accolades.
Lutz punted seven times for a 46.4 per attempt average in a narrow 52-45 loss to Jacksonville on Saturday, posting three kicks inside the 20 and three fair catches. The junior also boasted a long of 52 yards, his fourth of over 50 yards this season.
The 2013 Preseason All-PFL punter and 2012 second team all-league performer also took an honorable mention last week at PFL leader Butler and after his week two performance in a win over UVa.-Wise.
Lutz owns a 43.5 per attempt average this season with six punts inside the 20 and eight fair catches through seven games.
Mobley, a sophomore from Cornelius, N.C., played a part in two Campbell takeaways on Saturday, returning an interception for a touchdown and recovering a fumble to earn the defensive back honorable mention. Mobley also made a tackle and broke up a pass against the Dolphins.
The defensive back owns 20 tackles on the season with two interceptions and five pass breakups.
The CFPA has handed out accolades to Camels six times this season, including three honorable mentions to Lutz and a National Punt Returner of the Week award to Jordan Hildreth. Ugonna Awuruonye was also issued an honorable mention last week.
Campbell will remain at home this week, hosting PFL newcomer Mercer at Barker-Lane Stadium for Homecoming. Kickoff is slated for 4 p.m.
