BEALLSVILLE, MD. – Alvaro Veiga is tied for seventh place on the individual leader board and Campbell sits in fifth place in the team standings after 36 holes Monday of the Georgetown Intercollegiate men's golf tournament.
Veiga shot an even-par 142 (71-71) on the par-71, 6862-yard Members Club at Four Streams layout and is four strokes off the individual lead of UAB's Paul Dunne (69-69—138) heading into Tuesday's final round.
UAB (278-282—560) leads the 12-school event by 26 strokes over Toledo (287-299—586). Penn State (587) is third and Notre Dame fourth (589), followed by Campbell (592), William & Mary (594) and DePaul (594).
Campbell senior Amanjyot Singh is tied for 11th at plus-two 144 (70-74), while junior Grant Houser is tied for 37th (76-76—152). Freshman Craig Hornberger shot 76-78—154 and sophomore Mikko Lehtovuori 159 (81-78) Monday.
