BEALLSVILLE, MD. – Alvaro Veiga and Amanjyot Singh finished among the top 14 individuals and Campbell placed sixth in the team standings after Tuesday's final round of the Georgetown Intercollegiate men's golf tournament.
UAB claimed team honors (278-282-287) by 22 strokes after shooting a tournament-record 5-under 847 on the par-71, 6862-yard Members Club at Four Streams layout.
Paul Dunne of UAB (69-69-71—209) won the individual title by two strokes over teammate Martin Rohwer (70-71-70—211) and Toledo's Chris Selfridge (69-72-70—211).
Veiga tied for 12th in the 66-man field at 4-over 217 (71-71-75). Singh finished in a tie for 14th (70-74-74—218) at 5-over-par. Grant Houser (76-76-78) and Craig Hornberger (76-78-76) tied for 49th at 230 strokes. Mikko Lehtovuori (81-78-73—232) shot the team's low round of the day and finished in a tie for 55th.
Campbell concludes its fall schedule Nov. 3-5 at the Wendy's Kiawah Classic.
