BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Justin Franz of Campbell University has been named to the NCCSIA All-State University Division men's soccer second team by the North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association.
A senior midfielder from Cedar Park, Texas, Franz was a second-team All-Big South Conference choice and gained all-conference honors for the third time in his four year career.  After hitting career highs in goals (5), assists (6), points (16) and game-winning goals (2), Franz was chosen to the Big South second team for the second time in three years (2011, 2013).  Franz played 1664 of a possible 1796 minutes in 2013.
In conference regular season games, Franz ranked sixth in the Big South with 15 points and tied for first in assists (5).  Franz scored game-winning goals vs. VMI (plus 2 assists) and Asheville.  An Atlantic Sun Conference all-freshman team choice in 2010, he played in 75 career games with 64 starts for CU.
Founded in 2002, The North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA) is comprised of sports information professionals from NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA and independent institutions from the state of North Carolina. The purpose of the organization is to promote collegiate athletics at all schools. Membership is open to anyone affiliated with a college, university or conference located in North Carolina, and whose area of responsibility lies within sports information.
NCCSSIA selects all-state teams in the University (Division I) and College (Division II, III, NAIA) divisions for men's and women's basketball, men's and women's soccer, volleyball, softball and baseball.
