CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Campbell's Samantha Robbins has been named the Big South Conference's Women's Track Athlete of the Week as announced by the league office on Wednesday.
Robbins, a junior from London, Ontario, won the 1,500-meter event at the Duke Twilight over the weekend. She broke the tape in 4:34.21 to set a personal record and rank No. 3 on the Big South list this season.
Robbins won bronze in the 1,500-meter run at the 2013 Big South Conference Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships with a time of 4:35.42.
Campbell will be in action at three meets this weekend, as they will travel to Atlanta, Ga. for the Georgia Tech Invitational on May 10-11, to Raleigh, N.C. for the NC State Wolfpack Last Chance on May 10, and finally to Charlottesville, Va. for the Virginia Invitational on May 10-11.
