prestigious honor roll.
"We have an amazing group of young women that have the ability
to juggle all the aspects of being a student-athlete," said head
coach Wanda Watkins. "Not only are they representing the program in
a positive manner on the court, but are having success in the
classroom.
Campbell and Liberty each paced the Big South with nine women's
basketball student-athletes represented on the list. Last year, the
Camels posted their first 20-win season since
2000-01.
"The student-athletes that are in our program are true
competitors and have set high expectations for themselves, on and
off the court" said coach Watkins. "They are going to be great
for our community at Campbell and will excel in the future
representing our program. I am grateful and blessed to be able to
coach them each and every day."
The requirements to be recognized on the Big South Presidential
Honor Roll are to maintain a 3.0 grade-point average or better for
the recently completed academic year. Overall, Campbell had 133
student-athletes (54.32 pct.) earn the prestigious award.
