GREENSBORO, N.C. – Kaylin Yost is one shot off the individual lead, Lisbeth Brooks matched her best collegiate round and Campbell is second in the team standings Monday after 36 holes of the UNCG Starmount Fall Classic at Starmount Forest Country Club.
A senior from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Yost was 3-over after her first seven holes of the day, but made five birdies and six pars to finish the opening round with a season-best 69. She held a one-stroke lead over four golfers tied for second at one-under 70 heading into the second round of the 54-hole tournament.
Monday afternoon Yost turned in a one-over-par 72 in a round that included five birdies. She is tied with Agathe Sauzon of Chattanooga (70-71—141) at one-under-par, one stroke behind Sarah Bae of High Point (70-70—140) with 18 holes remaining.
Yost played the par-three holes at 3-under, best in the field. Her 10 birdies were only one shy of Bae's 11, through two rounds.

Heading into the last 18 holes, Campbell is positioned to finish among the top four teams at the event for the fourth-straight time. Campbell won the tournament in 2009 and finished fourth in both 2011 and 2012.
The Camels shot 299-289—588 and are in second place in the team standings, two strokes ahead of Maryland (288-302—590). Chattanooga (289-289—578) holds a 10-stroke lead after Monday's play.
Junior Lisbeth Brooks matched her collegiate career low round Monday afternoon with a 4-under-par 67 on the par-71, 6265-yard Starmount Forest layout. After shooting 79 Monday morning, the native of Waunakee, Wis., turned in a bogey-free second round while making four birdies to climb into a tie for 10th at plus-four (79-67—146) in the 84-golfer field.
Brooks had 24 pars through two rounds and equaled the 67 she turned in at the 2011 Golfweek Program Challenge and the 2013 JMU Eagle Landing Invitational.
Red-shirt junior Ali Prazak is tied for 28th place (77-74—151) after playing the par-5 holes at two-under. Sophomore Tahnia Ravnjak (78-76—154) is tied for 44th and freshman Louise Latorre (75-80—155) tied for 50th.
Playing as individuals, junior Brooke Bellomy is 66th (80-80—160) and senior Maria Jose Benavides 69th (77-84—161).
