2013-14 Women's Tennis Schedule
BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell head coach David Johnson announced the women's tennis schedule on Wednesday afternoon. The Camels are slated to appear in four tournaments during the fall before playing 20 dual matches in the spring.
Davidson (Sept. 6-7), Charlotte (Sept. 20-21) and Wake Forest (Sept. 27-29) host Campbell in fall tournaments. The ITA Regional played in Chapel Hill, N.C., caps the fall slate on Oct. 17-20.
Eleven home matches are scheduled for the Nisbet Tennis Center, beginning on Feb. 1 against Wingate. USC Upstate (Feb. 8), N.C. Central (Feb. 15), East Carolina (Feb. 18) and Charlotte (Mar. 21) are the non-conference opponents that make the trip to the Creek.
The VCU 4-1 Invitational opens the spring on Jan. 17 with four singles and one doubles match against host VCU and Georgetown.
Campbell travels to Elon for a mid-week meeting on Feb. 12.
The team's spring break trip has them battling Mercer (Mar. 1) in Savannah, Ga., before traveling to Dayton Beach, Fla. Bethune-Cookman and Savannah State face the Camels on consecutive days starting Mar. 4.
Big South home contests begin for Campbell on Mar. 8, when it hosts Gardner-Webb. League foes that travel to Buies Creek are Charleston Southern (Mar. 13), Longwood (Mar. 15), Presbyterian (Mar. 22) and Coastal Carolina (Mar. 25).
The Camels have road trips to Liberty (Feb. 22), Radford (Mar. 18), Winthrop (Mar. 29) and UNC Asheville (Apr. 5).
The Big South Championships hosted by Gardner-Webb is set for Apr. 15-19 in Boiling Springs, N.C.
